Artex is a stylistic hangover, much like flared jeans, still present in a surprising number of properties, simply because its removal appears daunting or impossibly arduous.
It is not and Alchemy have obliterated thousands of metres of it, simply by plastering it, leaving it encased, entirely hidden from tasteful eyes under a gleaming, polished, perfectly smooth surface.
We simply treat it as you would a normal ceiling receiving a skim of multi finish.
1. Bluegrit the Artex.
2. Leave to cure overnight.
3. Apply either a coat of bonding plaster, if straightening is needed, or proceed to a triple coat of finish, press and polish as usual. Infact, the extra depth dictated by the artex, leaves a particularly lustrous finish.
If you have artex walls or ceilings and require a perfectly smooth plastered wall, please contact Alchemy Plaster for a plastering quotation.
